Digital Natives , Digital Immigrants
when i read the article "Digital Natives, Digital Immigrants" by Mark Prensky i agreed with everything he had to say. Ithink digital immigrants do struggle is some ways when it comes to technology today. I think that it is important that these teachers that do struggle with technology try to learn the new techniques and skills so they are able to understand and help their students in this particular area. Technology is also a good resource to have and to intergrate into the classroom.

I agreed with you Amy but i also think there is another way to help the immigrants get into a position where they can understand technology better.
Imagine what life would be like with out Technology. We would have to write letters to our friends to tell them how we are hahah!!! I cant imagine you with out your phone Amy
I agree. I think it is important for both the teacher and the student to learn from each other so there is nothing wrong with asking for some help. I do agree with the point that teachers of this day and age to need to change with the times and be more willing to learn about computers from not only professionals but students. However I also believe that new resources such as webquests, smartboards and faster internet are accommodating these needs of students, making it easier for teachers to bridge the gap between learning speeds. I enjoyed this article and found myself relating to Digital Natives, The article also made me think of how indeed fast paste our generation has become. What an exciting future we have ahead in the world of ICT.
i agree but i think that whilst teachers need to make a genuine effort to learn and understand digital technology for the benefit of their students, prensky also made alot of generalizations about digital immigrants as a whole.
I agree with your comment about digital natives, digital immigrants. We definitely need to work with our students in the future to make learning fun and enjoyable. Incorporating ICT in the classroom would definitely make the lesson interesting. I'm sure the students would enjoy teachers using different technology to enhance thier learning.
